My aunt, Garnet Brumfield, is a business office manager at one of their 40+ skilled nursing and rehab facilities in Texas. In addition, earlier this year my grandmother who spends half the year in Texas became very ill and spent a week in the hospital. After her hospital stay, she was transferred to Park Bend Health Center, which is part of the Senior Care Center network. After three weeks of rehabilitation (physical, speech, and occupational therapy) by the incredibly kind staff she was able to return home. We know her recovery wouldn’t have been the same anywhere else.
We are also very excited to hear they are setting up their systems so residents can follow my live tracker throughout the upcoming race and will have access to pictures that are posted. I hope my ride can inspire at least one of the residents during their rehabilitation.
